Presented in association with And What? Queer Arts Festival

Ahoy hun! Riding high on the waves of the Thames this October, Naked Boys Reading fulfills a lifelong dream by bringing you an armada of spunky sailors on our very own Navy Day. Yes babes, that’s right, sweet dreams are made of this, so come and travel the world and the seven seas with our boys as they entertain you with tales of Moby Dicks, butt pirates and slutty mermaids. We have one of those in every port.

Think Fassbinder’s Querelle, Homer’s Odyssey or, urm, Water World; the vast oceans have fascinated man since the beginning of time. And we’re no different, although, admittedly, we’re a little more fixated on those who cruise towards the horizons: salty seafarers, sexy stowaways and marine biologists. It’s time to cum aboard our galley and worship at the altar of Neptune.

At the helm: Captain Shaz and first shipmate The Duchess of Pork. We promise seamen.

Brandon Olson, ‘New York’s ultimate bohemian’ (Michael Musto, Village Voice) and club superstar, arrives for a 2 week residency at The Glory to create a brand new show with his long term friend and co-creator, The Glory’s own Jonny Woo.

GLORY DOORS 5PM
SHOW STARTS 8PM
TICKETED: £10 PLUS FEES (BOOK HERE)
THE GLORY, 281 KINGSLAND RD, LONDON, E2 8AS

More Information:
Jonny and Brandon created their first show ‘Go-Go Real’ back in 2001, in NYC at Dixon place, and it set Jonny on his performance art track of the next 15 years. Together they mummified, stripped, sung about drugs, HIV and NYC nightlife. Winning critical acclaim from the NY Times and Village Voice. Jonny returned to London to throw his legendary Radio Egypt parties and Brandon Olson continued to hold the torch of the NYC underground aloft. Now hosting Suzanne Bartsch’s uber-glamourous parties and most recently styling her exhibition at F.I.T NYC and appearing in ground breaking theatre work at Theatre For The New City, Brandon Olson’s arrival brings the energy of NYC to the beating heart of London’s queer underground.
