Landscapes is a seven screen video installation that postulates between aging bodies, diverse identities, and the landscapes we reside in. The installation features seven LGBTQIA+ seniors from around Europe and celebrates their bodies in the form of a public artwork.
Both a sonic and visual journey, the seven monoliths present a collection of slowly unfolding images. Silhouettes of shadowy hills, deserts and mountains. The moving scenery reveals horizons of landscapes, or are they bodies.
Landscapes provides visibility to the ageing Queer body, one that is often overlooked and undervalued in our own social and political landscapes.
